Him To Her

It wasn't signed, but no name was needed. She felt his touch, his heart, in every carefully crafted phrase.

Whispering her frustrations made eloquent, she didn't stop when her office door clicked shut, but continued until the very last blurry word, only then looking up and struggling to find her own. "It's--perfect. Thank you."

"I don't think Hallmark would agree."

She bit her lip as her fingers stroked across the paper. "When we're finished, you should publish your collection of the greatest speeches never spoken."

"Only if you write the foreword."

And he folded his hands over his chest.
