Raptus Regaliter
by Nehal

Sometimes he wants to end it. Returning to the Other Side does, after all, have its benefits- freedom to achieve, opportunity to excel, time to contemplate-

And pain. Unforgivables, enchanted knives, whips, chains, acid...

He closes his eyes, imagining a world without children, without Dumbledore, without that obnoxious little runt who symbolises his worst mistake.

Yes, he decides with a weary sigh as a curse forces him onto his knees. He would very much like to spend the rest of his life without ever laying eyes on that Potter brat again.

Unfortunately, as the pain seers its way into his nerves, he realises that that is no longer an option. It is of course his own fault, he sighs, as everything grows dark around him, he should have had the wits to die in that infernal shack.
